The Glamour of Avalon is the sixth world of MORANA's saga, the Celtic and British Isles realm of the fair folk and the Otherworld, where the same cracked wheel is met by a people who have always known that appearances lie. Here the returning dead are one more glamour in a land where nothing is quite what it seems. The name is the old word for a fae enchantment that changes how a thing is seen.
This is the country of Avalon and the Otherworld: the fair folk who must never be named outright, the changeling left in the cradle, the selkie who hides her sealskin, the Pooka who is never the same shape twice, the mist-wrapped isle where a king sleeps, and, from Perrault, the locked room of Bluebeard. Celtic and British Isles folklore is a tradition of concealment and bargain, of borders you cross without noticing and gifts you should never accept.
By the sixth world, the Turning has reached the isles at the edge of the map, and the Celts meet the returning dead as the fair folk always meet everything: as a matter of glamour, of seemings and hidden truths. Where the Norse world keeps its appointment with the end, this world doubts its own eyes. It is the saga's chapter of concealed identity, the late turn where a story built on total transparency finally admits one hidden thing.
The Glamour of Avalon's signature idea is the saga's single sanctioned hidden choice. In a game whose whole identity is open information, this world adds one bluffable, concealed decision inside the reveal, a sealed second face that even a careful reader cannot be sure of. It is hard-ruled never to touch the Open Grave, so the recursion layer stays perfectly transparent; the concealment lives only here, earned by a culture built on things unseen, a reward for players who have mastered the open game.
The Glamour of Avalon is the sixth Turning in MORANA's mapped saga, designed but ahead of the live game. It is not a product you can buy today and it has no cards yet; it is part of the queued world-map, announced when real, never dated. The world you can play now is the first, the Slavic set, free in your browser.
