The First Duel

Four runes (rounds). Each rune, you and the other Warden secretly pick one spirit and one of the three Sites, then commit at the same moment.
Same Site: a Clash. Higher Power takes 2 Slava; the loser falls face up into its owner's Nav.
Different Sites: no blood. 1 Slava each.
Your dead are not gone: a fallen spirit can be played again from Nav, one Power stronger. The graves are open: read theirs before you commit.
Most Slava after four runes wins. Wins feed your rank, from Wanderer to the Deathless.

This teaching duel uses Power and the bluff only. The full game adds Embers, Omens and Vigils: the rules fit one page.
